Description

After I sprayed it, it smelled wonderful - juicy, not too sweet, slightly powdery, very interesting and sensual. Tea, Mandarin and Pomegranate set the mood, Tuberose and Freesia sign an ultra-feminine floral heart over a sensual base of creamy sandalwood and Musks. By using a higher concentration of fragrant oils, Eau de Parfum is more potent and takes longer to evaporate, meaning you won't have to reapply as often. It's very pretty, don't wear it with anything sweet or the sweetness will bring out the bitter, let it be, soft and floral.

Sandalwood appears in the base and it makes the scent a bit warmer and musk is barely noticeable too and it gives Jeu D'Amour kind of a soapy note.

I would definitely like this more if pomegranate and tea notes appear stronger but Jeu D'Amour for me is completely white floralish-floral type of scent. If you're interested in a big tuberose, but at the same time not too difficult to wear, Jeu d'Amour could be a lovely option.

It's interesting to see that several other reviewers have mentioned a similarity between this and Avon perfumes, because as soon as I smelled it, the first thought that poppied into my head was 'this smells exactly like an Avon perfume' (although I couldn't say which one as it's been years since I tried any).

I wouldn't have thought of a blood mandarin note (I never even saw a blood mandarin in my life), but now that I know it's there, I think I can smell a bit of a blood orange note, too. The bottle contains Eau de Parfum, which, whilst more expensive than the Jeu d'Amour Eau du Toilette edition, it offers better value for money.I usually like sweet and warm basenotes, but sometimes a cleaner, less sweet base is even better, and this is the case here. Designer Karim Rashid created a bottle with soft sensual curves to mimic the enveloping scents contained within. She starts with an alcohol-laced Citrus burst courtesy of the Mandarin Orange and ends with a thin trail of Freesia for the remainder of her stay - inoffensive, but unremarkable.
