This Book Bikers Life you must give it a read, you won't be disappointed, it's a Blast, come on get one now. Moving and emotionally charged, the book is capped with a powerful close-up of the child’s face on the rear cover with the legend “What would you do if you had the chance to help a person find freedom?

Unspoken is based on Henry Cole’s fascination with the part that the barn on his own farm might have played in the history of slavery. I’d had my eye on Unspoken for a little while, having had my attention drawn to it by blogger and librarian 100 Scope Notes, and the New York Times picks of 2012. The Victoria and Albert Museum, of which he was founding Director, remains his best-known memorial, and is a symbol of his mission to educate through the exhibition of objects. He started as a news cameraman for channels including ITV and TF1 and progressed to making rockumentaries, primarily with heavy rock bands, [4] then directing TV commercials, and finally directing films, such as the semi-autobiographical Mad Dogs and Englishmen with Elizabeth Hurley. To think that Henry’s really been through the mixer and come out the other side gives everybody hope and he comes across as a genuinely spot on fella.

His world crashed down after he smashed his right ankle and causing severe damage to his left fibia and tibia. Loved every page of this well written, very readable book - a great insight into all things bike but also one man’s fascinating journey from outsider despair to finding happiness by doing what he loves. Henry Cole is on television most days of the year as the presenter of shows like Shed and Buried, the World's Greatest Motorcycle Rides and The Motorbike Show. Henry Cole has been riding for as long as I have ( I've never owned a car) so i could relate to a lot of what he says, not least what Bikers,as opposed to fairweather summer riders, get out of the experience. There's a bit of name-dropping and the last 20% kind of limps along with random stream of consciousness observations that give the impression he was done with story but the publisher wanted more.Unspoken encapsulates a little piece of American history in a profound way for 7-10 year olds, and gets the reader to ask themselves; ‘what is that person really thinking? When you ride a motorbike you become part of a worldwide community of kindred spirits - those of us who will not be pacified by driving a car, but instead live for adventure, escape and the sheer thrill of the throttle. When author David Wittlinger decided to get an old motorcycle to fix up he didn't have any particular model in mind. I find it hard when those in the biking fraternity are negative and rude about Henry Cole, especially when he has done so much in promoting motorcycling, and done it with humour and including the genius of Sam Lovegrove and Allen Millyard.

It’s a book about mindfulness, it’s a book about how people can turn their lives around even when the chips are down, it’s a book about following your dreams and most of all, it’s a bloody good read. Henry Cole decided Unspoken would be wordless, after his written version was rejected, as he explains in this interview.

In 2013 Henry Cole set a world land speed record for a pre-1955 750cc motorcycle, riding a Brough Superior on the Bonneville Salt Flats.
